Grantsburg, WI, Police Blotter

Apparently everybody's nuts in Grantsburg these days, everybody.

Damn hospital should have broken something. What the hell were they thinking? I suppose the bill was still sky high.
• Jan. 30, Christopher L. Breeden, Hertel, was stopped at a stop sign on Pike Bend Road and was turning when he saw Kathleen A. Dittmar, Webster coming. Breeden thought she would swerve out of the way, but she didn’t see him due to the sun and hit him. Breeden was not injured but Dittmar was seriously injured and taken to St. Croix Regional, where she’s been released without any broken bones.
Power walking is apparently dangerous.

• Feb. 2, William L. Morrin, Jr., Grantsburg, was traveling east on Assembly Road when he hit a patch of snow or ice, losing control and causing him to land in the ditch hitting two trees.
What do you mean no suspects? What about this Thorsen Park fellow?

• Feb. 1, Benjamin L. Baker, 20, Grantsburg, reported a theft from an ice shanty on Big Wood Lake by Thorsen Park. He told authorities he left the shanty Jan. 28 and then discovered it had been broken into Jan. 29. A lantern, three jigging rods and one tip-up were missing. The suspect(s) kicked in the front door to enter. There are no suspects and the incident is under investigation.
