About Right

Accountability is a foreign word in Bu$hCo's world. The Poor Man does a good job of explaining. Go read.

"A value offensive to this culture is the value of accountability, at least to people who have ever had to hold down “a job”, in the sense you or I understand the term. (Accountability - of a sort - is, of course, fine for those who oppose the culture of Bush America.) Accountability means doing what you have promised to do, standing by your word, and being held responsible for cleaning up after your mistakes. This is a value that, like most values, is assumed to “exist” in some independent sense, and so will, somehow, take care of itself. But, like all values, it doesn’t “exist” until people insist that it must."
