Why Does The NRA Hate America?

Raw Story has this piece about the jack-booted thugs from the NRA.

""What we've seen in Louisiana...is exactly the kind of situation where the second amendment was intended to allow citizens to protect themselves," NRA chief Wayne LaPierre said in a statement."

Yeah, I'm sure the fabulous Founding Fathers sat around & thought of New Orleans being destroyed by a hurricane as a reason to include the 2nd ammendment. I think it was actually something about a well-ordered militia, which of course would have been a great addition to the first responders dealing with this crisis, but they were away in Iraq, don't you know, fighting for, for, for....

""Local authorities in New Orleans are turning nature's assault on human life into man’s assault on human rights," LaPierre added."

Well, well, if possessing a gun is a human right, I hope Herr LaPierre also supports my human right to a cheesecake a day, & I want that cheesecake made at the Daily Bread, in Mayor Fred Schnook's city of Ashland. Cheesecake for all law abiding citizens. Yeah, that's the ticket.

You might want to go back to Kindergarten and learn the difference between a militia and a standing army. The second amendment enumerates the God-given right of people to protect themselves from vermin who would take advantage of the opportunity to rape, rob, murder, conquer, and pillage. You seek to protect the vermin from reaping the penalties of being vermin. I'm sure you'd just indiscriminately invite them all into your living room with your wife and children... as soon as they are toilet trained. A well-regulated (trained) militia is necessary to the security of a free state. That's what LaPierre was talking about. Without the right of self-defense, you cannot be free. That was proven in New Orleans.

Turn the other cheek, Christian.
