Poverty? What poverty? I guess the folks just refuse to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, if they have bootstraps. & the guy from MI tries to put a happy face on the numbers by pointing out that it was worse under Reagan & Bush I, but that is clearly a backhanded compliment. Bush is pushing these people down, while giving tax breaks to his overly-rich friends.
