You can tell the proof reader when you see him. He's the guy with the white cane.

"Oct. 12, an alarm sounded near Wood River in Grantsburg. It is unknown if anything was stolen."

It is also unknown why this is newsworthy.

"•Oct. 8, Douglas J. Cien, Grantsburg, was hurt after he hit a tree on County Road D. He nodded off, causing him to veer off the road."

Gotta watch out for those trees on the road.

"•Oct. 13, a call came in about threatening letters from a former girlfriend. No charges were filed."

That's funny without any comment.

"•Oct. 12, Andrew Savage, Siren PD, was hurt after he struck a pole in the South Winds Parking lot. In a report, he wrote the squad wouldn’t turn, causing him to strike the pole. He hit his head in the car and then felt dizzy and nauseous leaving the parked squad. He then went to St. Croix Hospital for further observation and treatment."

It wouldn't turn? Apparently it wouldn't stop either?

"Louis R. Oiyotte, Webster, WI, Operating While Suspended, $185.50.
Louis R. Oiyotte, Webster, WI, Present Another’s ID Card as Own Card, $248.00.
Louis R. Oiyotte, Webster, WI, Improper Display of License, $135.50."

Some days it just doesn't pay to get behind the wheel.

"Jordan J. Olds, Siren, WI, Underage Drinking-Possess-17-20 (4th+), $739.00, 1 yr. license susp.

Jordan J. Olds, Siren, WI, Possess Open Intoxicants in MV-Driver, $243.00.
Jordan J. Olds, Siren, WI, Underage Drinking-Possess-17-20 (4th+), $739.00, 1 yr. license susp."

Geeze, you'd think my property taxes would go down with all these criminals paying all these fines.
