•Oct. 2, Michael J. Rivard, Star Prairie, was negotiating a northeast turn on CTH F when he encountered loose gravel, causing it to turn on its side. He was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for observation.
•Oct. 2, George E. Nutt, Grantsburg, was traveling north on Hwy 87/48 when a deer ran out in front of him. He suffered minor injuries.
•Sept. 30, Sandra L. Hero, Chanhassen, MN, was driving south on St. Croix Trail, when she swerved to avoid hitting a deer causing the vehicle to roll over. She broke the windshield to escape the vehicle but was not injured.

I think that the beautiful whitetail gets blamed for more accidents than they should. Where is the ACLU when you need them? Everyone knows loose gravel is a slut.
