The Knight is on to something here. Again, progressives have been fooled, bullied, or scared into long, apparently unending, discussions on how to do something, rather just doing something. It's the old social construction bull: writing about how to make chicken soup becomes more interesting & takes a good deal longer to do than to just kill the chicken & make the damn soup. This is a good, interesting essay, read it.
"But it's worse than that, because the Green Knight fears that in the desire to reframe its arguments, the American environmental movement is slipping into another one of the American left's specialties: mistaking busy work for real work. Or, put another way, trying to figure out where to stand rather than actually making a stand."
