I think this may have something to do with the Iraqi's ritual while using the bathroom/latrine and they have different customs that may be violated by Americans. so in trying to be sensitive to the needs and customs of the Iraqi's there are seperate latrines.
That's the ReThug talking point. If you read the article, you will see the Iraqis side of this, & that side isn't pretty. It's interesting how so-called political correctness is used by those who usually hate it.

What do I know - I just live here in America. I gave up trying to figure all the BS out long ago but it doesn't mean I don't care.
The whole thing is a mess and lives are being torn apart in both the US and Iraq that's all I know.
