Fred & Darlene Schnook

Went to a party tonight where Fred announced he was not going to run again for Mayor of Ashland, WI. This is understandable, but very bad for the future of Ashland. Fred has been the best thing Ashland has seen in many, many years. & if it hadn't been for the elites, including SueHank Martinsen, & their success at tearing down a good man, Ashland would even be farther ahead. This next election will be important. Will the residents of Ashland allow the wealthy elites to run the city into the ground? Or will they continue the progressive thinking that Fred brought to city hall? I hope it is the latter. The citizens know that money & the ability to buy lawyers is not the way to run a city or even a family. I hope & we need to work, to make sure they don't take over Ashland & turn it into Martinsenville, or Pottersville, if you know what I mean. Congradulations Fred & Darlene & thanks for inviting me & Mrs. coldH2O to the party, but it was bittersweet. As an aside, a certain city council member was extremely conspicuous by her absense, which, quite frankly, I was happy about. She is not helping the progressive movement.
