Let Them Eat Cake

RLK & I came across the same post today. David Sirota quotes an economist from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Here's the quote.

“‘Firefighters who want to live in high-priced cities can work two jobs, said W. Michael Cox, chief economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. ‘I think it’s great,’ he said. ‘It gives you portfolio diversification in your income.’”

& here's Sirota's comment.

"But then, that’s exactly what Let Them Eat Cakers want - an economic darwinism where more and more Americans must struggle to make ends meet."

He's right, of course, but that won't stop the ReThugs from continuing to screw the middle class, while chanting "9/11, 9/11, 9/11."
