Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson Jr., delivering his first public remarks since taking office last month, pledged today to work with Democrats to revamp Social Security and Medicare, and in a gesture aimed at Bush administration critics he said he recognized that the economy was not benefiting all Americans.
“Amid this country’s strong economic expansion, many Americans simply aren’t feeling the benefits,” Mr. Paulson said in a speech at Columbia Business School. “Many aren’t seeing significant increases in their take-home pay. Their increases in wages are being eaten up by high energy prices and rising health care costs, among others.”

The thing about class warfare that Republicans generally and Bushies especially are incapable of understanding is that when you engage in class warfare, you should have some class on your side.

Yeah, you guys are right. Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and countless other wealty people are doing just horrible things with their money. It sure is a shame that billions of dollars are being donated to help the needy.
Dear Anonymous: The post refered to the fact, fact, dumbass, that the gap between the rich & the poor has dramatically increased since Bu$hCo came into office. There is no mention in the post, the quote, or the comments that refers to the philantrophy of Bill Gates or Warren Buffett, not one reference. So, anonymous dumbass, please comment on the focus of the post. Whether or not these overly rich folks want to give their money away is irrelevant to the discussion of the class nature the present U.S. economy. Get with it.
