We're a modern nation, interested in developing the human potential. Or not. We keeping locking up people for minor crimes against no one, but lock people out of libraries. The future looks dimmer.
The board did act, however, on a vote of 6-2 to close the Roosevelt, Southeast and Webber-Camden branches, and to close the new downtown Central Library on Mondays.
