There Is No Such Thing



as a compassionate conservative.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger proposed an updated budget Monday that would cut some Californians from the welfare rolls and suspend cost-of-living increases for blind, elderly and disabled people while selling off the state's student loan agency for an estimated $1 billion.

He needs the money because

...higher spending for prisons, have eaten up the $2 billion reserve in the original budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1.

What a man, no money for you, blind guy, we have to build more prisons.  Emphasis added.
