I'm watching NBC's concert to raise money for New Orleans. Nice version of "Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans" - Harry Connick, Jr. & Wynton Marsalis. Plus a man just said "George Bush doesn't care about black people." They cut away quickly after this. The look on Mike Myer's face was PRICELESS. I don't know who he is, but it's good to hear the truth on national TV. This is what we need - truth telling to the powerful & rich.
UPDATE: Kanye West was the man criticizing Bush. He also mentioned the black "looters" & the white people who "found" food & water.
UPDATE#2: Since I know next to nothing about hip-hop, here's the last graf of a review of an album by Kayne West:
"Mammon in practice, Christ in spirit—that's neat. RZA over Puffy because RZA subsumes Puffy as West subsumes them both. Arrogant for sure, only that's not why he always samples. Anyway, he's as good as he thinks he is—a backpacker at heart who, like many brilliant nerds before him, has accrued precious metal by following his dream. He wants everybody to buy this record. So do I."
