Police blotter - March 8, 2006

I'm not sure it's a blotter, but somebody's blotto.

"• March 4, a red GMC was found in the ditch at N. Williams Road and Hwy. 70 after a phone call. All the glass was busted and the front right tire was shredded. The victim of the car, James Adams, Grantsburg, was driving north and the front tire blew out. They locked the vehicle and got a ride home from someone.
-----I hate busted glass, but broken glass is just fine. Plus that damn car better serve some time, for injuring the "victim". I'd also like to know who "they" are, since only one "victim" is mentioned. Ghosts in the heads of the Grantsburg cops?

• Feb. 28, Vernice Carlson, Trade Lake, reported a burglary at her home after noticing the south entrance door was slightly opened. She walked upstairs and found her drawers were open, with a silver metal box missing. The suspect(s) gained access by cutting an outside door and breaking the inside window to gain access. "
-----I would have arrested her for indecent exposure, since her drawers were open. I'd also like to know more about that "silver metal box" in her drawers. Sounds a bit kinky to me. Oh, the seamy underbelly of small town Grantsburg. There's more than just geese in that town, apparently.
