While his personal life wasn't fun to watch after he retired, Puckett was a lot of fun to watch as he played the game. & while I find baseball to be about as boring as soccer, players like Puckett draw my eye to the tube & keep it there, for awhile, at least. Too bad.
"Kirby Puckett, the Hall of Fame outfielder of the Minnesota Twins, acclaimed for his sunny personality and his passion for baseball, died Monday at a hospital in Phoenix. He was 45."
