Well, I Personally Was Scared Shitless

But now I feel better that Bu$hCo’s spymaster has explained it all to me. I guess the free, but protected market does solve all problems. Who knew? Or blew, for that matter?

The issue is liability protection for the private sector.

I guess I feel safer, sort of, OK, even fascist liars speak the truth now & then.

Finally

A major news' source, McClatchy, uses the L word, &, no, it doesn't stand for Lebanese. Now, it would be great if the rest of the mainstream media followed suit. It is way past the time of the benefit of the doubt. Bu$hCo lied. Hat tip to Shutterwi. This is from McClatchy's Baghdad Observer, a blog by Leila Fadel, the Baghdad bureau chief for McClatchy Newspapers.
Nine hundred and thirty five _ that's the number of "false statements" made by the U.S. administration about the dangers of Saddam Hussein in the two years following 9/11, according to a report by the Center for Public Integrity.
....
The report has a searchable database and tracks the slow trend of lies dating from 9/11, to the invasion, to Sept. 11, 2003. The lies peaked in February and March, the month before and the month of the invasion of Iraq.

Here's the link to the data base. & Dave Obey, my congresscritter, says impeaching the asshole Bu$hCo would be "absurd." Obey couldn't be more wrong.

Enough To Go Around

Our rulers are all bastards. As mentioned here, the Democratic leadership enabled, really enabled, Bu$hCo's destruction of the Constitution. How can these sons-of-bitches sleep at night? This is why Democrats continue to lose, they really think they are ReThug Lite. I'm glad The Twins are visiting, or else this would be another version of The Lost Weekend. I mean, what else is there to do?

Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.

More Of The Same Part Nine Hundred Eighty One

Glenn Greenwald takes apart the boneheads in D.C. All I know is that the dirty fucking hippies down at The Black Cat Coffee House were right about everything in regards to this stupid war on Iraq/Terror/Iran & the slimy Joe Lieberman types were wrong about everything.
It is hard to overstate the bitterness and resentment which the Serious Pro-War Beltway Elite like Hiatt, who were wrong about everything, still harbor towards those, such as ElBaredei, who were right about Iraq, principally because those who were right serve as an ongoing, painful reminder of what poor judgment the likes of Hiatt possess, of how untrustworthy are the foreign policy pronouncements of the Serious People in Hiatt's world. Thus, Hiatt's attack on EdBaredei begins with the complaint that he "was lionized by opponents of the Iraq war" for being right. That's because in Hiatt's world, having been right on Iraq -- and being "lionized" by war opponents -- are actually hallmarks of unseriousness. Ask Scott Ritter (if you can find where he can be heard). Or Howard Dean.
