It's Saturday Night

So Shelley Winters is dead. & Ariel Sharon is showing brain activity. & the judge in Saddam's trial wants to resign. The Seahawks won. As if I care. This is the news on a Saturday night in January. Oh, there's more, I'm sure. Like this uplifting story about how well our intelligence services are working. Feeling safer yet? But the SWAT team knows how kill an eighth grader, even after his parents told the cops the gun was not a 9mm, but rather a pellet gun. Then we can blame everything that happened yesterday on that blasted Loki. We have GM committed to boosting powertrain production as a headline, quickly followed by Powertrain Production is halted by a small blaze. It is a slow Saturday night. Even with sattelite TV, I'm watching a 1967 rerun of a Lawrence Welk show. Jeez. That's the year I graduated high school. About the only excitement around here tonight is the result of eating some ham soup - there are a lot of, well, ducks flying around the house, & they're tooting.
