It's Certainly All The Lawyer's Fault

Another example of why physicians are the root cause of their own problems, much like the rest of the human population. When the medical profession ultimately realizes this, my bet is that malpracitice lawsuits will become rare. Think about how a veternarian deals with you & your pet. Truth, & the resulting freedom it brings, while not always upbeat, allows us to make the correct decisions.

"Ms. Wong had come across a bane of the medical profession: the difficult doctor. These doctors may be arrogant or rude, highhanded or dismissive. They drive away patients who need help, and some have been magnets for malpractice claims."

Emphasis mine.
