Want To Know What Happened To The Packers?

Read this. Then...

Ted Thompson must have taken some course work in how to be like Bu$hCo, the worst president ever. Don't be fooled loyal four readers, he may say he's taking responsibility, but if you read his responses carefully, you will see this arrogant dork for what he is.

Favre-less Packers Lose Big Time (& I Don't Mean Dick "Dick" Cheney)

What a disaster. I can't even blame the refs for this loss. Oh, & Brett Favre, remember him? Well, the Jets are 7-3 after knocking off the Titans who were 10-0. Yeah, that Ted Thompson is a real fucking genius alright.

This says it all.

Well, maybe this deer-in-the-headlights look really says it all.

Well...

One good thing came out of the Packer's losing the NFC Championship game. Crooked refs.

More Gloom

Apropos the Packers LOSING yesterday (crooked refs indeed), The Twins leaving for home, my freshing cut open left shoulder aching (I'm right handed, never pitched, but played 2nd base & right field), & losing possibly the best post I ever wrote, really, here's more gloom concerning the iconic Joshua Tree. I have that album in vinyl, thanks Mrs. coldH2O's brother.
Given current thinking about climate change, unless we can figure out a way to assist the migration of both Joshua trees and their moth partners, as Connie Barlow is trying to do with Florida Torreya, it seems almost certain that Joshua trees will be extinct in the wild by the end of this century.

Unless we stop burning carbon the way we’re doing. But that would require actual inconvenience, so I don’t hold out much hope.

My emphasis.

Lost

The refs turned against us

Win Lose

Silver Lining?

Bu$ho has exactly one year, 365 days left to destroy the country.

Yes!

Giants 21 - Cowboys 17

This feels almost as good as yesterday, but not quite.

Packers 42, Seahawks 20

After listening to the first couple of minutes of the game on the radio in Mrs. coldH2O's Ford hybrid motorcar, I decided that we should drive to an undisclosed location in northern Wisco, hard by a frozen lake, & eat some cold shrimp & hot wings, & drink whiskey with soda. We did just that & by the time we got to the aforementioned undisclosed location, the refs came to their senses & the Packers had tied the game. & the best part of the deal is that is was snowing a hell of a lot more south of the undisclosed location & we had no dangerous Cheney to deal with, although several people appeared to be wearing masks, or more specifically, happy faces. More here.

Packers Rule

Packers 38 - Raiders 7

Injury? What injury? Plus, the Pack's running game looked really good & just when they need the running game.

Big Game Update 2

5:15 3rd Quarter - Grant runs it in from the one. Packers 24 - Cowboys 27

---
Another really bad call by the refs that led to a Cowboys TD. I'm pissed.

----
5:03 4th Quarter - Crosby just kicked a 51 yard field goal. Packers 27 - Cowboys 34

Big Game Update

No. 1
11:36 1st Quarter - Crosby field goal. Packers 3 - Cowboys 0

----
No. 2

8:23 1st Quarter - After a really lousy call by the refs, the Cowboys kick a field goal & tie the game.

---
No. 3

3:15 1st Quarter - Another field goal for the Cowboys. Packers 3 - Cowboys 6
Let's hope the offense does a bit better this set of downs.

---
No. 4
1:14 1st Quarter - Cowboys score after an interception of Farve. Packers 3 - Cowboys 13
This is not good. I'm beginning to think I am causing this by watching, so may decide to turn the channel. I hope Farve doesn't have a game like, well, you know.

---
:01 1st Quarter - Huge run by Grant for a touchdown. Packers 10 - Cowboys 13
Maybe I'll keep watching. Maybe not, screwed up on-side kick attempt.

---
13:20 2nd Quarter - 3 plays & a TD pass for the Cowboys. Packers 10 - Cowboys 20
---
8:23 2nd Quarter - Favre is on the sidelines & Rogers is in. It's now Packers 10 - Cowboys 27. Things are not good. I'm going to the basement.

---
:31 2nd Quarter - Touchdown pass to Jennings, from Rogers. Packers 17 - Cowboys 27

Farve!

Bret just broke Marino's touchdown record & the Pack leads the stinking Vikings 7-0. Suck on that Belichek.

3-0

31-24 Packers over the Chargers. Not a bad start to the season.
