Uh, no. These bastard pharmaceutical firms, like most corporations in a capitalistic system, only care about profits & the compensation of their top executives. I believe that we not only need a single payer health care system, we need a government that supports drug research that is completely separate from profits. Otherwise, people will continue to die or be injured for the benefit of shareholders. Merck & Schering-Plough are no friends of the American people, or the people of this world.

They Have The Best Interests Of Sick People At Heart

Too Little
& way too late. Pfizer ought to be forced to provide Lipitor for free for the rest of time. That sort of penalty just may have the needed effect on the capitalistic bastards.
One television ad depicted Dr. Jarvik as an accomplished rower gliding across a mountain lake, but the ad used a body double for the doctor, who apparently does not row.
....
That committee was examining whether the ads misrepresented Dr. Jarvik and his credentials. Although he has a medical degree, Dr. Jarvik is not a cardiologist and is not licensed to practice medicine.
How can anyone defend this? & yet, Bu$hCo & the ReThugs go on & on about the free market & the ownership society. It does make me sick, & I mean sick.

Jesus Christ
People like the guy pictured below are dying, so the Thailand Legislature enacted Compulsory Licenses for the AIDS drug Kaletra & the heart diseases drug Plavix. Good for them. Washington, no surprise to anyone with a brain or heart, is urging the Thais to rescind them.
