Spring Fauna

This has been an interesting morning. I had a yard visitor:

This feeder pole was straight, yesterday.

Notice, in the black circle, the brand new tooth puncture or claw puncture. I'll need to replace this feeder, I believe.

The object in front of the visitor is a bird feeder. We ususally take them down in spring, but this year we forgot. There were a few seeds left & Mr./Ms. Black Bear wanted them.

I'm no bear biologist, but I can't tell if this bear is losing his facial hair, or was sticking his face somewhere where there was a tasty bunch of something, or what.

Say hello to Mr. or Mrs. Black Bear. There were no cubs, but it still could have been a girl bear.

wow, great photos. that bear looks even more human-like than usual with its loss of hair on the face. Hopefully not another side effect of climate change?
